If there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's that every moment in life is a lesson shaping you little by little into who you are meant to be. Don’t rush to get there, all in it’s due time.
— A wise client
Seven years ago, I left San Francisco for Suisun City with my new family. Since then my husband and I have built a home, watched our family grow and change in many different ways. I learned to navigate new seasons, even the difficult ones, rebuild a new book of business, and eventually found a church community.
In the beginning it felt like I had left a lot behind, because I did. But little did I know what was waiting for me on this side of the bridge. Let me tell you it was more than what I could of asked for!
Life hasn’t been perfect, and I don't have all the answers. But I've learned that even the unexpected seasons have a way of shaping us into who we're becoming.
The hard lessons that had me questioning “why me” have been the ones that have taught me the most.
These days you'll usually find me spending time with family, raising a teenager 😬 and playing ninjas with my 6 year old.
I love being intentional with my new church community and planning the next adventure with my friends.
Or dreaming up the next big idea with my business partner
I’m so grateful for where I am today, but that’s not to say it hasn’t been hard work. Managing the many different hats us ladies often wear can be exhausting to the soul, but here I am taking it day by day, enjoying every moment I can both inside and outside of the salon because tomorrow is not promised.
And if you're wondering what's carried me through those seasons... well...
That's a story for A Little Grace.
