Where the Heart is
Somewhere along the way I realized my favorite part of this career wasn’t hair… it was people.
I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 12 years and have had the privilege of co-owning two salons.
The first time around, I was a 23-year-old dreamer jumping into an adventure I knew very little about. The second time, life had taught me a few things—but I’ve been blessed to have such a great partner to do it with (shout out to my girl Jessie Mae)
The biggest lesson though, was this:
People will always matter more than the service.
Hair is what brings us together, but relationships are what make this so meaningful to me!! ( such a cliche I know but gosh it is so true!)
I love sharing ideas, techniques, inspiration, and creativity. I love helping women feel confident. I love encouraging my team. And I love watching someone walk out of the salon standing just a little taller than when they walked in.
That's the kind of salon I hope we're creating.
And bottom line is that for me it’s about helping people see—even if just for a moment—the beauty that's already been inside them.
And to create a space where clients feel known.
Where my team feels at home.
Where beautiful hair is only part of the experience.
