Jesus changed everything.

For a long time, I thought I knew who Jesus was.

I knew about Him. I knew stories from the Bible. I knew enough facts to say I believed.

But looking back, I realize I didn't actually know Him.

For years, I thought following God meant trying harder.

Being better.

Getting everything right.

I spent so much energy trying to become someone I thought He'd be proud of that I missed the simple truth...

He wasn't asking me to perform.

He was inviting me into a relationship.

It wasn't until I reached the end of myself that I finally stopped trying to fix everything on my own.

That's where I met Jesus—not because He had finally decided to love me, or help me, but because I finally stopped running from the love that He had been offering.

Listen,

I still have questions.

I still have days where I need grace just as much as anyone else.

But today I know this:

Jesus didn't wait for me to have everything together before He loved me.

He met me exactly where I was.

And He still does.
