I have some exciting news... 🤗

We're hiring an assistant!

After 12½ years behind the chair, for the very first time, we're welcoming an assistant to the Madison & Mane. 😬

Okay, okay... don't freak out. 😂 This is actually a really exciting thing!

One of the greatest gifts this career has given me is everything I've learned along the way, and now I have the opportunity to help pass that on to someone just beginning theirs.

Jessie and I are excited to help her grow—not just in skill, but in confidence, professionalism, and the way she cares for people. We have always loved teaching, we both showcase it in different ways which I believe is what makes this so exciting! She'll learn techniques, color application, and all the practical things that come with doing hair — but our hope goes far beyond that.

We want to teach her how to truly listen, express creativity with confidence, and use professionalism to guide clients with honesty and care. Most importantly, we hope she learns that doing great hair is only part of the job. Treating people well will always matter just as much.

Our industry can sometimes feel intimidating. Clients may feel like they have to audition just to get their hair done, while stylists can feel like they have to constantly defend the value of their work. We believe there's a healthy balance between confidence and humility, artistry and hospitality, and that's the kind of salon culture we hope to pass on.

If you've ever been new at something, you know how much a little encouragement can mean.

So, when you see her around the salon—whether she's helping behind the chair, welcoming you at the front, or learning alongside one of us—we hope you'll greet her with kindness, patience, and grace. Creating a safe place to learn is something we all get to be part of.
